USGS HAS DOWNGRADED THIS QUAKE TO 6.0


Another large 6.0 magnitude global earthquake (1/21/12 6.3 mag quake in Mexico) has occurred in the South Sandwich Islands region.  The USGS is reporting the following including a 5.2 immediate quake following in the same location.
